Drawing from years of experience and know-how as a world leader in fashion technology, Shima Seiki has created a design workstation that goes far beyond the simple patterning and programming available from the competition. With powerful proprietary hardware and industry-specific software developed in-house, no other design system even comes close to SDS-ONE.

SDS-ONE continues with Shima Seiki's familiar interface consisting of a pressure-sensitive cordless pen and digitizer tablet as well as a trackball unit with duplicate keys for often used functions. This user-friendly setup allows the simultaneous use of both hands for maximum productivity.

The Work Menu features pre-registered workflow sequences for often used functions, which users can customize on an individual basis. Should the need arise, Online Help is available as a reference aid. The Assistant menu also features easy step-by-step tutorials for several key functions. SDS-ONE is designed to let anyone-beginners and professionals alike-take full advantage of cutting-edge Shima Seiki computer graphic technology.

As a communication tool, SDS-ONE ties together various areas of the apparel industry for real-time communication throughout the supply chain. What used to take days for presentations can now be confirmed in minutes. Quick-response production is also possible, even at rmote factory locations around the globe.

With an on-board color management system and Eye-One color calibrator, SDS-ONE can match scanned-in data to display monitor and printer output for accurate evaluations.
the latest version is always available for use. SDS-ONE also contains a fool-proof system which provides automatic backup of work data in case of system hang-up. Should more serious trouble occur, our worldwide technical support network provides professional service and parts inventory for hassle-free repairs.

SDS-ONE is in actual use at Shima Seiki's Total Design Center as part of its day-to-day operations. By using our own systems in the same way our customers do, we are better able to gather knowhow, understand customer feedback and anticipate potential problems, which are key factors for improving products in the future.
