On-Demand High-Quality Value-Added Printing.
SHIMA SEIKI’s new textile printing machine SIP-160F3 continues to provide beautiful full color printing on a variety of fabrics, with improvements across the board. Unlike conventional dyeing and printing systems that require long leadtimes for preparing films and plates, SIP-160F3 uses advanced piezo inkjet technology and is suited to quick-response small-lot production. Reactive ink, acid ink and pigment inks (including white) can be used to support different types of print applications. The height-adjustable carriage can be raised or lowered to allow printing on fabrics and products in varying thickness. SIP-160F3 is now equipped with a new ink circulation and degassing system. In addition, new features such as a head cleaner with nozzle cleaning and wiping, as well as a thermoregulating system within the ink pipeline help to provide stable printing. Operation is easy through a new, larger 23-inch touch-control monitor. With SIP-160F3, quick and flexible production capability allows on-demand printing, while high-quality printing raises fashion to new levels in added value.

The SUM100 Pretreatment Unit assures fast and efficient treatment of fabrics for printing on SIPTM-160F2. SUM100 sprays the fabric with a special formula according to fabric type. It prepares the fabric for optimum printing for improved color quality and saturation without bleeding. Spray width, as well as the number of nozzles, can be adjusted according to the size of the fabric for consistent spraying.

The SDM100 Drying Unit permits quick drying of fabrics prepared on the SUM100 Pretreatment Unit. The SDM100 features two tiers for drying, each with its powerful heating unit. For cut and sew panels or shaped pieces, both tiers can be used. For finished products such as WHOLEGARMENT, only the upper tier is used, with the lower heater turned around to face upward, effectively drying both sides of the garment simultaneously.

After printing on SIP, the SSM100 Steamer Unit is used to set the ink onto the fabric for maximum color saturation. By circulating steam within the chamber SSM100 assures even steaming and setting among all fabrics. Optimum time and temperature can be set according to fabric type. Even fabrics which are normally vulnerable to heat can be treated with the SSM. Five shelves are available for steaming for better efficiency.
