Founded in 1947, Miyama Corporation began its business by selling sewing machine threads and we now sell dyed yarns for knitwear used in a wide range of industries, including socks, gloves, knitted hats, scarves, and sweaters. We support the manufacturing of apparel products with a wide variety of colors, ranging from dozens to hundreds of colors, and easy-to-use materials.
Our standard yarn "Crayon House" was produced under the theme of "socks in a different color 365 days a year. It has now become a color indicator in the sock industry and is our long-selling signature product. The management system to control subtle color differences is a technique unique to us, which has been producing dyed yarns in Japan for many years.
We are also developing materials that are environmentally friendly, using organic cotton and recycled polyester. Recently, we have started a project called "WACS" to recycle discarded sock scraps in Nara Prefecture, a major sock production area. We would like to do what we can do now, one thing at a time, carefully, in order to gradually expand our small efforts into something bigger.
The wave of digital transformation is sweeping through the apparel and textile industry.
Until now, our industry has been based on a business with a lot of inventory, and there was a lot of yarn and fabric that was disposed of.
By using yarnbank, we will strive to reduce such extra losses and provide new value.
