TOYOBOSHI CASHMERE

The quality of cashmere raw materials can vary greatly depending on the breed of cashmere goats and their habitat. They are raised in extremely harsh climate conditions, with winter temperatures dropping to as low as -30 to -40 degrees Celsius and summer temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, resulting in drastic temperature fluctuations. The more challenging the conditions, the better the quality of the wool obtained from these goats is considered to be.
TOYOBOSHI recognizes that identifying regions where superior breeds thrive is one of the most crucial factors in sourcing the highest quality cashmere raw materials. With a wealth of experience accumulated over many years, they have limited their sourcing areas primarily to Inner Mongolia, where fine, long, white, and lustrous down fibers are consistently obtained. By adhering to the strictest global standards and carefully selecting cashmere raw materials, TOYOBOSHI ensures stability in obtaining the finest quality materials.
Using these meticulously selected cashmere raw materials, each process including dyeing, spinning, and twisting is carried out with traditional craftsmanship to create a single thread.

BABY CASHMERE | 100 % BABY CASHMERE 18 Nm. 26 Nm.

Baby Cashmere is obtained exclusively from the downy wool of cashmere goats that are younger than 12 months old.*
Our Baby Cashmere is truly one of a kind, boasting a superior feel, texture and presence compared with regular cashmere. It is sourced exclusively from the eastern regions of Inner Mongolia, where the arrival of spring is early and winter is late, making it the most suitable area for collecting cashmere wool. We have established a joint project with a reputable company with a proven track history in the area, making us one of only a handful of companies in the world to secure an exclusive supply contract to bring the finest quality cashmere down to the world.

*Why younger than 12 months?
TOYOBOSHI Baby Cashmere uses downy wool from kids that have not experienced winter since being born, primarily those younger than six months old. Cashmere wool is collected every year in July, and because kids may be born any time from December to April, all goats are younger than 12 months old when their wool is collected for Baby Cashmere.

SPUMA 73 | Cashmere 70% Silk 30% 30 Nm.

SPUMA derives from the Latin word "SPUMAE," meaning "foam." It embodies the lightness and pleasant touch of cashmere, as well as the softness and elegant sheen of silk yarn. The combination of these two materials creates a rich texture reminiscent of champagne bubbles, with a delicate and refined luster.
From a sustainable perspective that is globally valued, the silk yarn produced from cocoons that are not used for raw silk and from vegetable-tanned leather can be considered an environmentally friendly and ecological material. Utilizing these materials, SPUMA incorporates the spinning technology of TOYOBOSHI to create blended yarns.
SPUMA 73 is a yarn that is less prone to pilling due to fine adjustments made during spinning, without the use of anti-pilling agents.

BFKWN | Wool 50% Blue Fox 40% Nylon 10% 18 Nm.

Blue fox, which is considered the finest material among fur, is used. The hair of young foxes that have just survived one winter is carefully combed and groomed to create relatively long-haired cotton. Blue fox's downy hair has an average diameter of 17μ, which is thin. However, on its own, it lacks luster and has inferior yarn strength. Therefore, it is blended with fine wool and nylon to create the yarn. After shrinking, the blue fox hair floats to the surface, creating a unique texture and appearance.
Additionally, since only blue fox fur is used as raw material (blue fox fur color being very light gray), it allows for not only dark colors but also lighter shades to be produced.
