SDS-ONE APEX3

SDS-ONE APEX3

Supporting high-quality textile simulations.

SHIMA SEIKI's SDS-ONE APEX3 can be used to design textile patterns including stripes and check patterns, dobby patterns, multiple weaves and jacquard patterns. SDS-ONE APEX3 offers comprehensive support for everything from textile product planning, pattern production and evaluation of colorways to output of instruction sheets, creation of product images and sales promotion. SDS-ONE APEX3 is an optimal design system for all types of apparel products including uniforms, shirts and bottoms, as well as for such users as textile converters, textile manufacturers, planning companies, OEM and ODM manufacturers, trade firms, yarn traders, interior designers, towel manufacturers and sundry manufacturers.

Creating Patterns

Creating Patterns

In addition to creating plaid designs from scratch, patterns can be traced over scanned-in photos or actual fabrics. Using the scanned sample as a reference, the width of each stripe can be adjusted easily by dragging it on screen.

Creating Patterns

The Kaleido function, which develops patterns like a kaleidoscope, can instantaneously create stripe or check patterns from any photo or illustration. This is effective for designing with trend colors and creating color variations. Structures and yarn density can be set, and stripe sequence and conversion into fabric image can be performed smoothly.

Creating Patterns

Abundant weave structures are available such as plain, twill and satin, as well as various other intricate weave structures. Original weaves can also be added. While a dobby motif is drawn, its structure data is automatically created. Structure data can be checked in black and white or in color.

Colorways

Colorways

Color evaluation can be performed with colors selected from the color menu or the Pantone color guide. Colors can also be directly input from a color sample through a spectrophotometer. Auto Colorway function creates multiple colorways by sampling colors from a given image such as conceptual storyboards and scenery photos. It enables you to easily create colorway variations according to design theme and concept.

Yarn Input

Yarn Input

Actual yarn can be scanned in and registered. Twist yarn, space-dyed yarn and mélange yarn can be created as well.

Simulation

Simulation

Realistic woven fabric simulation for dobby, check, jacquard and multiple weaves can be performed. Seersucker, napping and other uneven surface textures can also be expressed realistically for effectively reducing the need for samplemaking.

Job Order Output

Job Order Output

Stripe sequence, weave diagrams, heddle number spec sheets and peg plan diagrams can be printed.

Data Compatibility

Data Compatibility, BMP, DB1, JC5, XML

Weaving data created on SDS-ONE APEX3 can be saved as bitmap or Staubli format (Note: Some attributes may not be supported depending on the data).

Product Image

Product Image

Simulated or scanned fabric can be draped onto photos or illustrations of garments for checking the final product image. By inputting garment size, the fabric size is automatically adjusted for accurate evaluation.

Scanned designs and digital data such as PSD or AI data can be converted into pixelated images to be used for realistic pile weave simulations. Print simulations, as well as product images made by compositing fabric material can be created as well.
