SHIMA SEIKI Launches APEXFiz Design-Sox Software
Leading flat knitting solutions provider SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. of Wakayama, Japan is pleased to announce the release of “APEXFiz® Design-Sox,” a new software package for its APEXFiz® subscription software lineup that is specially prepared for sock design. This innovative tool aims to accelerate the trend of 3D virtual sampling in the sock industry.
Until now, sock design using APEXFiz® required a subscription to either APEXFiz® Design-Knit or APEXFiz® Design Pro, together with optional 3D software. This 3D functionality is included as standard with APEXFiz® Design-Sox, significantly reducing implementation costs and allowing more customers to easily adopt the latest technology.
Operation of APEXFiz® Design-Sox can be viewed via a demonstration video which can be accessed from the APEXFiz® website. Additionally, new customers who subscribe to APEXFiz® Design-Sox will have the opportunity to learn its operation through the 3D Sock Design course available on SHIMA SEIKI’s SHIMANAVI e-learning system.
This announcement is made in the wake of SHIMA SEIKI's earlier announcement about its partnership with sock knitting machine producer Lonati S.p.A. concerning sustainable sock development. In conjunction with ORION programming software from Lonati, APEXFiz® Design-Sox realizes optimized sock production using 3D virtual samples.
