Temporary Closures
Following SHIMA SEIKI's previous announcement to temporarily close its headquarters and factory due to the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, it has been determined that difficulties associated with the global business environment remains unchanged. Therefore the temporary closures will remain in effect until the end of November, on the following dates in addition to existing holidays:

Due to the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus and the state of emergency declared by the Japanese government on 7th April 2020, SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. is taking the following measures.
Temporary Closures
The worldwide spread of the coronavirus has forced entire populations to remain indoors and has closed down retail businesses in each of the affected countries. This has caused a worldwide slump in sales within the apparel industry, which has affected our company accordingly. In light of this situation, and considering the state of emergency that has been declared within Japan, SHIMA SEIKI is performing temporary closures of its business at its headquarters and factory in Wakayama, Japan, on the following days:

Parts procurement at SHIMA SEIKI headquarters is continuing as usual while taking necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. However due to differing conditions in the distribution system in each area, delays may be inevitable.
SHIMA SEIKI considers the health and safety of its customers, local community and its employees as its first priority, while placing best effort on preventing the spread of coronavirus infection in order to maintain its business as usual. Any changes or additions to its measures taken will be updated on this page.
